What We Did On Our Summer Vacation 2026 - Part 1
Summer is all about making memories, and our NCB family never disappoints. Each year, we celebrate our incredible community by sharing the adventures, milestones, and special moments that make summer unforgettable. From exploring new corners of the world and reconnecting with loved ones to trying something new, or simply enjoying time close to home, this is where our members share their favorite stories and photos from the season. Join us as we look back on the moments that made this summer one to remember!
For 14 years Joe Schorer (trombone) was a member of Northshore Concert Band. Joe’s final performance with the Band was June 5, 2026.
He kicked off his summer spending three days of backpacking on the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
When he's not traveling or enjoying retirement time with family and friends, you'll likely find Joe at a NCB concert—this time on the other side of the podium, listening from the audience and cheering on the musicians he once performed alongside.
This summer NCB member Kendra Gohr (euphonium) and her family cruised all around the world!! First, Hawaii and then Alaska.
At the Northshore Concert Band, we often say we are a family—and in many cases, that is literally true! Our members frequently share the stage with members of their own family. Pictured here enjoying the Hawaii trip is Owen Gohr (string bass), who regularly shares the NCB stage with his family member, Kendra.
