Northshore Concert Band is always interested in identifying talented adult musicians from the Chicago area. Please complete the form below to express your interest in auditioning for NCB or to join the waitlist for sections without current openings. New members are selected based on their musical ability and readiness to faithfully commit to the Band’s schedule of concerts and rehearsals. All members are expected to volunteer time for the Band’s administrative activities. You must be at least 18 years old to join Northshore Concert Band. All members will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to participate.
The audition process consists of three parts:

Based on the information provided on the application form and the number of openings in the section, the Auditions Coordinator will contact applicants to initiate the audition process. A prescreening recording will be required shortly thereafter.
After the Auditions Committee reviews the prescreening recording, select musicians may be invited to a live, in-person audition.
The typical concert season runs from early September through June. The Band rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Loyola Academy’s McGrath Family Performing Arts Center and Glenview Park District Park Center. The Band performs four subscription concerts in addition to several outreach concerts to local schools and community venues.
