What We Did On Our Summer Vacation 2025 - Part 2

The amazing summer adventures of the NCB family continue! From family reunions and white water rafting to performing with friends and everything in between, this is where our members share their favorite vacation memories and photos from around the globe (or just down the road!).

In Part 1 of this series, we shared that NCB member Dan DiCesare (trombone) kicked off the summer performing with Elvis impersonator Johnny Thompson in Texas. Dan’s musical summer adventures continue! He was asked to sit in with the Chicago Brass Band as they took part in the Independence Day Parade in Barrington, Illinois.

Dan (fourth row, left) joined other NCB members Karen Crylen (trumpet)(front row, left) and Brad Say (trombone) (third row, right).

NCB member Kendra Gohr (euphonium) and NCB associate member Owen Gohr (string bass) spent an action-packed week in Colorado for a family reunion. They explored the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park, conquered the heights of Pikes Peak, braved the rapids with white water rafting in Cañon City, and wandered through the stunning rock formations of Garden of the Gods.
