What We Did On Our Summer Vacation 2023 - Part 3
Our "What I Did on My Summer Vacation" series continues with two NCB trombonists!
Joe Schorer (trombone) and his wife Millie traveled to the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon rainforest. He attended a Chicago White Sox/LA Angels baseball game (with Shohei Otani pitching) while visiting their son Max, his wife Sara, and their daughter Lily in southern LA. Closer to home Joe and a 9-year-old trumpet player were the band in a July 4 parade held by Joe’s Northbrook subdivision.
Brad Say (trombone) traveled to Kenya, Africa for two weeks this summer. Along with members of his church, Brad ran a vacation bible school and Sunday school for some of the local children, and helped construct a house for one of the boys and his family who had lost their home in a fire. His African adventure trip concluded with an African safari at Nairobi National Park.
