We are thrilled to have begun our 67th season and would like to welcome our newest members to the Northshore Concert Band family! Get to know them through this series of mini-interviews and don’t miss seeing and hearing them perform when we return to the Pick-Staiger Concert Hall on the Northwestern University campus in Evanston, Illinois, on November 6, 2022, for Variations on America, the premiere concert of our 2022/23 Season!

ETHAN MOGILNER

Ethan Mogilner plays the trumpet and works in business operations.

What do you enjoy most about playing? 

I enjoy the varying emotions music can evoke and its ability to bring people together.

Do you have a favorite musical memory? 

My favorite musical memory is performing in Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center.

Who was your most influential music teacher? 

My middle school band teacher was my most influential music teacher.

What are your musical influences? 

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has always inspired me.

What is on your Spotify playlist or in your music library? 

Georg Solti's Chicago Symphony Orchestra recordings are always my most-played tracks on Spotify.

What makes performing with Northshore Concert Band different than performing with other groups? 

Everyone is always supportive of each other.
