GivingTuesday Celebrates Generosity!

Tuesday, December 3rd is GivingTuesday!

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Created in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good, it follows the holiday shopping days of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

For 64 years we have brought symphonic band music performed at the highest level to the Chicago-area. We are regarded as a leader in the development of community bands across the nation and serve as a resource for those who wish to start a community band or improve an established band.

Our commitment to the music education of young people, the future generation of adult musicians, includes the presentation of concerts, clinics, and festivals. NCB members have pursued a range of careers and share a common love of music. Selected by audition, all are strongly committed to volunteering their time and talents toward our mission of enriching the lives of music students, showing them that anyone can be a "musician for life."
