National Band Director’s Day

May 20 is National Band Director's Day.

It was created to honor the extraordinary dedication and accomplishments of band directors everywhere.

Approximately half of our musicians are professional music educators. They are teachers and professors, band directors and orchestra directors, and private music instructors and music therapists. Music education provides children with a well-rounded education. Music educators love music and love teaching music to others and play a pivotal role in preparing students for bright futures. Music learning supports all learning. We’d like to take this opportunity to honor all of the music educators in the Northshore Concert Band family.
