Gifts of Securities
Stock that has increased in value is one of the most popular assets used for charitable giving, once it has been held for a minimum of a year. Making a gift of securities to us offers you the chance to help our organization while realizing many important benefits for yourself.
If you are looking for a way to pass on your cherished values to the next generation and to benefit an organization you love, please consider making a planned gift to the Northshore Concert Band. The Paynter Society
The Paynter Society was named to honor the Paynter family, including John P. Paynter, Northshore Concert Band’s founder, and the rest of the Paynter family who have continued to generously provide the band their time and resources.
When you make an annual contribution of $500 or
more you will be automatically become a member of The Paynter Society. Each year, Northshore Concert Band hosts a silent auction in conjunction with our February subscription concert. With roughly 100 lots, there is a wide variety of items up for auction including concert tickets, handmade items, artwork from local painters and photographers, and wine.
Heartfelt thanks go out to our many generous Silent Auction donors and to the event committee members and volunteers whose hard work and efforts resulted in this year's record-setting results.
All proceeds from our annual Silent Auction benefit our education and outreach initiatives, including community concerts and special opportunities for middle and high school students.
Our annual raffle gives you the chance to win one of three grand prizes. Last year’s prizes included roundtrip airfare for two, a night at the movies package, and “cold hard cash.” Raffle tickets are available following our April subscription concert. Winners are announced at our final subscription concert of the season.
