Our spring program takes us on a voyage from the breathtaking French countryside to the picturesque “City of Lights.” Darius Milhaud’s Suite Française begins the journey by leading us through each of France’s major regions, providing musical snapshots of Normandie, Bretagne, Ile de France, Alsace-Lorraine, and Provence. Rustic and tuneful, March of the Belgian Paratroopers provides another glimpse of the charming French countryside as we make our way toward Paris. Using melodies from the French Renaissance, Norman Dello Joio’s Scenes from The Louvre evokes the historic, yet timeless architecture and artwork of the world-renowned museum. We conclude our travels with a romantic stroll through some of Paris’ most famous locales in Martin Ellerby’s Paris Sketches. Including stops in Saint Germain-des-Près, Pigalle, Père Lachaise, and Les Halles, this tour is one you won’t want to miss!
