The Paynter Society

The Paynter Society ensures the future of Northshore Concert Band and its continued ability to bring the finest in wind band music to the Chicago area and beyond, through high-quality performances, recorded works, educational programs, commissions, and leadership to other community bands. Members of the Paynter Society generously support NCB with annual contributions of $500 or more.

The Paynter Society was named to honor the Paynter family, including John P. Paynter, NCB’s founding conductor, and the rest of the Paynter family who have continued to give so generously of their time and resources.

Benefits of Membership
The Paynter Society honors its members through special events and services including:

• Annual member recognition reception with the board of directors & Artistic Director Mallory Thompson

• Invitation to an open rehearsal to get a behind-the-scenes look at NCB

• “Greatest Hits of the NCB Season” CD comprised of Paynter Society members’ favorites from each concert (compiled by a vote)

• Recognition in the concert programs throughout the season (unless you prefer to remain anonymous)

• Quarterly newsletter

How to Join
